Single Sign On In CRM Web UI

As the title of blog I would like to share approach for SSO in CRM Web UI and problem appears after upgrade with solution.

Subject

Personally I prefer to Logon in CRM Web UI to save some precious minutes in my day-to-day work. Here I would like share 'how to' do this in your system.

How To

Please find below steps:

1. After log in SAP GUI, right click on Favorites -> Add Other Objects

2. Select BSP Application

3. Please provide BSP application CRM_UI_START with user id and password in <marked> places

4. Select OK and Favorites would be added, after double click on 'Starts the CRM UI Application Frame' -> it should log on in Web UI without asking for user and password

Problem after upgrade to EHP3

After our system is upgraded to EHP3, suddenly I am not able to log on and it stops with error message 'Logon with URL parameter not possible; logon cookie is missing'

Resolution

After searching for some time, I have found that this error message is triggered due to a flag 'Deactivate Login XSRF Protection' in BSP application CRM_UI_START. It is by default not selected and we need to select this check box and to do that please go to transaction SICF

After selection, please double click on service to go inside. Click on Error Pages tab -> with sub tab Logon Errors -> scroll down to go to System Logon -> click on Configuration

Select the check box and press OK and Save

Please try the Favorites menu again and it would log on without error message
